As suggested by the first trailer, the reality series will take a deep dive into Da Brat and Judy’s highs, lows and everything in between as they freely explore their roughly two-year relationship. “Both misogyny and homophobia created a culture where coming out would have been career suicide for a black woman in Hip Hop,” she said. Speaking to Variety at the time, she explained why she kept her sexuality a secret for nearly two decades. But it definitely wasn’t an easy decision.
